Oil sanctions will not become an “iron curtain” for Iran, the director of the Institute for Middle Eastern Studies, Yevgeny Satanovsky, said.
“Oil sanctions are not an ‘iron curtain’ surrounding Iran, but a net through which not only oil contraband, but also bigger fish will penetrate,” Satanovsky is confident.
“China will support no oil sanctions against Iran,” he explained. “South Korea will officially support sanctions but will be able to violate them,” the specialist added. “India will not support sanctions. Turkey, which receives approximately one third of its oil from Iran, will not support them either,” he added.
