The early voting in Russia’s presidential election is slated to kick off on Feb. 18 in 52 countries worldwide, Yelena Dubrovina, a member of the Russian Central Elections Commission, said today.
This day, Russian citizens living in Bulgaria’s Dobrich will be the first to cast their ballots in the poll to choose the country's new head of state.
The early election phase in Guyana, Denmark, India, Spain, Estonia, South Africa, as well as Boston and Philadelphia, US, will finish on March 3.
A total of 80,000 people are expected to come to the polling stations around the world, Dubrovina said.
In Russia, residents of remote areas, servicepeople in remote military units and sailors at sea will be able to vote early on February 17.
