New Delhi World book Fair

The International Book Trust, India, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India is organizing New Delhi World book Fair. It is 20th issue of New Delhi World book Fair, which was founded 40 years ago.

 

The last issue of this Book Biennale was spread over an area of 42,000 sq m and attracted more than 1,200 exhibitors from India and abroad. Delhi’s newspapers wrote, that at weekends, the footfall remained more than lakh book funs a day.

 

This year the organizers are expecting a bigger and better show.

 

The main theme of the Biennale is “Bollywood” and “100th anniversary of Bollywood (It will be in 2013)”. Besides, the show will have well-defined categories of exhibits – children, science & technology, Hindi & languages – to name a few. Also, there will be regular features like book launches, seminars, meet the author events, and special pavilions dedicated to children and youth etc.

 

And that’s not all – the organizers told to the journalists : “the New Delhi World Book Fair will have better infrastructure and logistics this time, the furniture will be better and so will be the communication system within the show”.
