The White Nights Festival will open in St.Petersburg on Friday bringing together the cream of dancers, singers, musicians and actors from various countries.

Besides an extensive concert program, the festival’s highlights include a contest of young performers.

 

Among famous guest stars are Michael Bolton, Paula Julie Abdul, and Anastasia.

 

The first White Nights Festival which was held in 1992 was classified as an event of global significance by the International Federation of Festival Organizations.

 

In different years, the participants in the festival included Joe Cocker, Julio Iglesias, Boney M, Scorpions, and Deep Purple.
