The New Wave international song contest for young pop singers in Latvia’s Jurmala is over. Russia’s 23-year-old Niloo won the Crystal Wave award and 50,000 euros.

The decision announced by the jury turned out to be a real sensation since after the second round of the competition Niloo was losing toCostanzoDel Pinto (Italy) and Maria Yaremchuk of Ukraine. The final, however, was crucial for Niloo- her performance of an original song was the strongest, while Del Pinto and Yaremchuk were ranked second and third.
