The strongest 20 men and 15 women took part in a sky-running competition, a race on the top of volcano. The best time among men was 1 hour 40 minutes and among women 2 hours 03 minutes.

 

The fans of traditional sports preferred to play golf at the foot of the volcano.

 

The volcano holiday is held from the 19th to 21st of August on the territory of Nalychevo National Park. It’s held every year on the last Saturday of August on the Avachynsky pass. In 2010 “Volcano Day” got a status of an official festival.
